Remember a beloved pet by making a memorial or tribute gift in support of the Whisker Kisses Koalition. Your donation, a minimum of $250, celebrates and creates a permanent remebrance of your pet. When making your gift, please attach an explanation that includes the name of your pet you are memorializing and where you would like the acknowledgement sent.
BENEFITS:
It’s a loving way to create a lasting memorial for your pet as well as receive a tax benefit too. An engraved stone will be permanently placed on our Pet Walk surrounding our Memorial Pond. HUMAN MEMORIAL & TRIBUTE GIFTS
Remember a loved one or honor someone special by making a memorial or tribute gift in support the Whisker Kisses Koalition. Your donation, a minimum of $500, celebrates both the person and importance of animal welfare. When making your gift, please attach an explanation that includes the name of the person you are memorializing or honoring and where you would like the acknowledgement sent ~ to either the family's name and address (for memorial gifts) or the individual’s name and address (for tribute gifts).
BENEFITS:
A permanent way to honor a loved one and receive a tax benefit. An engraved stone will be permanently placed on our Honor Walk. The family or individual will be notifed of your caring gesture and will receive an engraved keepsake version of the stone to treasure. You and your honoree will be permanently listed under the Whisker Kisses Koalition Memorial & Tribute Gifts.

GIFTS FROM YOUR WILL OR TRUST
Include a bequest to the Whisker Kisses Koalition in your will or trust. Make your bequest unrestricted or direct it to a specific purpose. Indicate a specific amount, or a percentage of the balance remaining in your estate or trust.
BENEFITS:
Your assets remain in your control during your lifetime. You can modify your gift to address changing circumstances. Under current tax law there is no upper limit on the estate tax deduction for your charitable bequests. You will be permanently listed under the Whisker Kisses Koalition Will & Trusts.
GIFTS FROM YOUR RETIREMENT PLAN
Name the Whisker Kisses Koalition as a beneficiary of your IRA, 401(k) or other qualified plan. Designate us to receive all or a portion of the balance of your plan through your plan administrator. The balance in your plan passes to the Whisker Kisses Koalition after your death.
BENEFITS:
Avoid the double taxation your retirement savings would face if you designate them to your heirs.
Continue to take regular lifetime withdrawals.
You have flexibility to change beneficiaries if your family's needs change during your lifetime. You will be permanently listed under the Whisker Kisses Retirement Plan.
GIFTS OF LIFE INSURANCE
You transfer ownership of a paid-up life insurance policy to the Whisker Kisses Koalition. Whisker Kisses elects to cash in the policy now or to hold the policy.
BENEFITS:
Make a gift using an asset that you and your family no longer need. Receive an income tax deduction.
In some cases, you can use the cash value in your policy to fund a life-income gift, such as a deferred gift annuity. You will be permanently listed under the Whisker Kisses Koalition Life Insurance.
GIFTS OF REAL ESTATE
You deed your home, your vacation home, undeveloped property or a commercial building to the Whisker Kisses Koalition. Whisker Kisses may use the property for its own purposes or will sell it and use the proceeds.
BENEFITS:
You receive an income tax deduction for the fair market value of the real estate. You pay no capital gains tax on the transfer. You will be permanently listed under the Whisker Kisses Koalition Real Estate.
